Get involved
Volunteers and interns play a vital role in our day-to-day operations and activities. Opportunities to help range from providing crisis counseling and court advocacy to serving on a committee or even as a board member. Tell us all about your special talents!
Volunteer
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization. Volunteer openings may be available for intake, hospital, shelter and court advocates. To volunteer in any of these programs, however, you must take our 30-hour Crisis Intervention Training (CIT). To check on openings, contact us at 208-664-9303. Or click the link below for a volunteer application to complete and return to our office. After receiving your application, we will schedule an interview with you to ensure both parties are compatible.
Internships
Internships of all different degree levels may be available at Safe Passage. Interns must complete our 30-hour Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) before working with clients. For details, please contact our office at 208-664-9303.
Additional ways you can help:
-
Adopt a Family: email or call us with the size of the family you wish to help. We will pair you with a family and provide you with their holiday wish list. Once you are done shopping bring the gifts back to our main office by. The gifts for the parents should be wrapped, but please leave the children's toys unwrapped.
-
Giving Tree: Stop by our office and take as many tags as you would like off of our Christmas tree! Shop for the item on the tag and bring them back to our office.
-
Gift Cards: If there is not enough time to shop, gift cards in small denominations are always wonderful for gas, groceries, taxi rides and other small items.
Thank you so much for your continued support of our survivors and their families!!!
If you have leadership skills that could benefit Safe Passage, we welcome you to apply for board memberships as positions come available. For more information, contact Executive Director
